My latest JC Penny deal

I love those $10 off $10 coupons that I get in the mail from JC Penny. I recently had a survey coupon for 15 percent off. Here's the breakdown of what I bought.

2 Toddler Shirts (for the fall)
Original price $9.99 x 2 = 19.98
On sale for $5.99 x 2 = 11.98
After $10 off coupon and 15 percent off = 19 cents

I just love getting new clothes almost free!!

JC Penny Deal

I thought I would share my latest JCPenny deal.  If you've been a reader for a while, you know I love to get great deals at JC Penny.  Last Sunday was the Friends and Family event that gave a 20 percent off coupon off entire purchase.  I also had a 15 percent off entire purchase coupon from taking a survey.  Guess what?  I was able to use both!  First the cashier run up the 20 percent coupon; then took the total from that and ran the 15 percent coupon through.

I bought curtains for my daughter's new room and some shirts for my husband for Christmas.

Here's what I bought:
  • 2 Sheer purple curtain panels: regular price $30 each, after discounts $13.59 each ($27.18)
  • 2 Sheer purple valances: regular price $20 each, these were buy one get one for 88 cents,  after discounts $7.10 ($14.20)
  • Graphic T-Shirt, regular price $26, after discounts $4.06
  • Dress Shirt, regular price $50, this was on the sales rack, after discounts $2.70 (and he has one just like already in different color that I snagged at another sale and he loves it)
  • 2 Dress shirts, regular price $30 each, again on the sales rack, after discounts $2.70 each ($5.40)

If I had paid regular price for everything it would have been $236.  Instead I only paid $56.47.  I can't even believe those prices.

More notable savings of the week

Here are a couple more savings that I received this week.

  • Free underwear from Victoria's Secret (no other purchase made)
  • Target brand Zyrtec 120 pills for just under $19.73, which will probably last through all of next year since I only take it when I'm my worst (regular Zyrtec is $18.99 for 30 pills)
  • My JC Penny Deal
  • Family pack of Golden Plump drumsticks for $3.99 plus a $1/1 coupon making it only $2.99 (we will get at least two meals out of this)
  • Free Ground Turkey with $5/1 coupon I received a while back with a Jennio Turkey recipe book (one to two meals will come out this)

Borders Perks

This one I came across accidentally and it's kinda a long process to get there.

I signed up for the Borders Rewards program, which you have to do in the store. Then I logged in my card number online. Within a few days I was given an e-mail for Borders Perks. Borders Perks rotates stores, but has hundreds of online stores listed with free shipping codes, percentages off and other deals. Examples are JC Penny, Target, Gap, Land's End, Macy's, Nordstroms, Toys R Us, Alamo, hotels.com, Nike, and tons more. It's very legit and I used a 10 percent off at Target a few months ago. If you can work a free shipping deal with a percentage off it's well worth it.

I also get coupons for Borders, which is also affiliated with Waldenbooks, as a member of the Border's Rewards program.
